The order, coming just eight days after the writ petition was filed, removes a contingent liability that equals nearly 7.9% of the company's market capitalisation. For a small-cap staffing firm, such a large demand could have diverted cash flow and impaired growth. The court's rapid intervention signals that TeamLease's legal position is strong, at least at this stage. While the final outcome is pending, the interim relief effectively lifts a cloud that had weighed on the stock.
