The contract has a 1,100-unit lot size, Re 0.05 tick, European-style cash settlement, and expiry on the last Tuesday of the month. Members must update systems by August 11. The new index gives traders an additional instrument to hedge or speculate. For now, the focus is operational: make sure your trading engine recognises the `NIFTYFPI` symbol.
