What’s new

Q1 revenue surged to ₹17.15 cr from ₹2.09 cr YoY; PAT rose to ₹5.44 cr from ₹0.28 cr.

Board appointed Buvankar Shekarnath as CFO effective 25 July.

Filed application to convert 14,671 sq yd Cherlapally industrial land to multi-use; 10% conversion fee paid.

Why it matters

For a nano-cap with zero debt and a ₹133 cr market cap, converting industrial land to multi-use could raise its value far beyond the solar business. But the application is early, with no disclosed timeline or financial impact — execution risk remains.

What we’re watching

Progress of the land conversion application and any disclosed valuation.

Whether the sharp quarterly revenue growth is sustainable.

Management's next steps on the Cherlapally development.

The full read

Surana Solar's Q1 was strong: revenue hit ₹17.15 crore (from ₹2.09 crore) and profit rose to ₹5.44 crore (from ₹0.28 crore). But the board also did something that may matter more for a ₹133 crore nano-cap. It applied to convert 14,671 square yards of its industrial land at Cherlapally into multi-use development under the Hyderabad Industrial Lands Transformation Policy. Ten per cent of the conversion fee has already been paid. The policy is designed to raise land values, and for a company with zero debt, a successful conversion could reshuffle the asset mix. The caveat: this is an application, not an approval. No timeline or financial impact has been disclosed. The quarterly numbers are real; the land story is potential. But potential is what moves a stock of this size.
